Thank you for visiting our online home page to learn more about Aventura Pet Sitters Plus. The decision to open up this company, came after I had a need for a pet sitting service that did not include putting my pets in any type of cages and leaving them in an unfamiliar environment while I traveled. I knew that I could not enjoy myself on vacation thinking that my animal babies were in “jail”. I wanted them to be in their own home, with their own toys and able to sleep in their favorite places (most likely my basket of clean laundry) :-). I wanted to be able to have peace of mind while I was away. So, with this thought, came the idea to open up my own pet sitting service. My mother Zena Maaliki and myself, Zena Duque are the owners of this valuable service. We have resided in Miami Beach & the surrounding areas for the past 26 years. We are also licensed real estate agents.

It is called Aventura Pet Sitters Plus, because we not only pet sit, but we also provide other helpful services to make sure your home is kept in order while you are away. We offer house sitting, care for your houseplants, bring in your mail, newspapers and any other deliveries so that the neighbors will never even realize you are gone.

In this day and age, we are working harder and longer hours. Because of this, we also offer mid day walks for dogs. So, with just a phone call or a pre set schedule we can go and walk your dog(s) until you can get home. It breaks up the monotony of their day and eases your conscience as well, knowing that they are being walked while you have to put in those extra hours at work. Both you and your pets will feel safer, more relaxed, and happier knowing that even though they are missing you, they are keeping to their normal routines and eating their regular food in their own cozy and comfortable home. Whenever we take care of any pets, we love them and treat them as if they were our own. Aventura Pet Sitters spoils your furry & feathered babies because we love pets, too!

I am interested in the services, and want more information about it. What happens next?

When you do call, you may get the voice mail. This is probably because we are out providing our services to other animals at the time. Please don’t worry about leaving a message, because messages are checked quite frequently. Someone will get back to you as soon as possible. When your call is returned, I will need to know some basic information about you and your pet (s). I will need to know what neighborhood you reside in, what type of pet(s) you have, the quantity of pet(s) in the household, the dates you are considering service, and how many daily visits will be required. If you reside in the area we service and the dates you need are available, I will then ask to set up an appointment with you. We always offer a free no obligation consultation to meet you and your pet(s) and answer any questions you may have about our services. It is ideal to have this meeting as close to the date of your departure as possible, so that the pet(s) will remember me on my first visit. (For dog owners, if you are adamant on a meeting, weeks before your departure or you believe your dog's temperament may be a problem, there will be a $15 fee to return an additional time to determine if we can be of service). If I do not service your particular area, I can refer you to other pet sitters that do.

Upon my arrival, we will review a detailed service contract that encompasses your instructions for pet, home & plant care. I will need a key at this visit and your emergency contact information as well as your local veterinarian’s phone number. Due to the ever increasing prices of gasoline, we are trying to eliminate additional trips to your home relating to keys and payment. We kindly request payment in full at the time of the consultation for new clients, and total fees due left for us for existing clients. You have the following options concerning your key(s):

• We can leave it outside hidden in a pre-determined location.
• We can hold on to the key for future visits. (highly recommended)
• We will personally return the key for a $5 fee.
• You may pick up the key yourself.

We also offer pet transportation services. We can pick up and drop off your pets as needed.

Our services are highly recommended and we always supply references from our satisfied clients. Now, you can go on your trip knowing that your beloved pet(s) will have lots of tender loving care while you are away.
